The Practice & Qualifying sessions work entirely different to full race distance where anything could happen. But the recent domination of RedBull & Vettel winning the last 3 races shows the duo are in a strong form and very close to grab the title for this year. The Indian GP will be crucial decider for the title race with Vettel´s close title rival Alonso (Ferrari) starting 5th on 3rd row and only 6 points separating them.

Another Red Bull driver Mark Webber took came 2nd fastest while Lewis Hamilton of McLaren came in third fastest just ahead of his team mate Jenson Button. The Ferrari duo Alonso and Massa grabbed the third row and Raikonnen of Lotus shares 4th row with Sergio Perez of Sauber and Pastor Maldonado of Williams was the last driver to set a time in the Q3 as Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg decided to sit out the Q3 without setting a time may be to save some tires for the race.

Force India´s Nico Hulkenberg had a chance to get into the Q3 but was bumped out on the last and had to settle with 12th on the grid while team mate Paul Di Resta is 16th. Michael Schumacher will start the Indian GP on 14th while Indian driver Narain Karthikeyan on the low budget HRT out qualifies Charles Pic of Marussia.
